You might find this wine for under $25 if you do some searching, and while you may be disappointed that we’re featuring a wine over $25, this one’s worth reviewing to make a point. We’ve featured some great wines for $15 and less. So what did I find so wrong with this wine? I love Pinots, but I couldn’t finish this bottle, not even with the help of a few friends. I’ll borrow from Sami’s opinion. It has a very earthy nose (horsey if you run with a winery crowd) that was strong enough to make an unfavorable impression on the palate. My issue with it is that it’s uncharacteristic of Pinot Noir, actually lending itself to a certain style of Cab that I’m not too fond of. Enough said. I urge you to check out some of the other Pinot Noir wines that we’ve reviewed before trying this one.
