Picchetti 2005 Mattie Rosé
Being that yesterday was an amazingly sunny day here in Silicon Valley, I decided to take a new friend out to the Picchetti winery, where I am a member. I had received an email about them releasing 3 new wines. One of them was perfect for the day.

Prior to arriving, my friend and I went to a produce market and picked up some fruit and tomatoes. After pulling up to a picnic table on their Estate property, I picked up a bottle and proceeded to un-cork it. The nose is incredibly refreshing with floral hints and a touch of berry highlights. The taste went perfect with the peaches, black grapes, roma tomatoes, and a few raw mixed veggies. I can hardly wait for summer to match this excellent wine with some grilled meats on a hot day. Truly a refreshing change of pace.
