J. Lohr Estates 2005 Riverstone Chardonnay
Here’s another installment from the recent VinoForLess team-outing to a BevMo wine tasting. The majority of wines that we tasted on this day, were from J. Lohr. Of these wines, most were very nice. This one was no exception.

Region: Arroyo Seco, Monterey County
This wine puts off a floral nose of honeysuckle, a wonderful buttery pallet with vanilla notes, and yet has a citrus finish. Our wonderful J. Lohr host informed us of the fact that it was aged for 9 months in French/American oak. They say that smell is the strongest of all memories. Our co-conspirator Chris couldn’t help but thinking of his childhood when catching the strong oak fragrance. This is a Summer time classic in the making. I’m once again able to say that this one is a definite buy, especially for Chardonnay fans.
