Two words come to mind, and I think Chris is with me on this, “blah!” and “effervescence”. For those of you new to wine, effervescence is a polite way of saying carbonated. Effervescence in a Savignon Blanc–what the hell! The wine was recommended by our server at Cellar Jazz–she missed. In my humble opinion, it scored few points with or without our food. During this tasting, Chris and I were conversing with a lovely couple seated next to us (natives of Vancouver) who were raving about a Chard that they were drinking. The one doing all the raving assured me that this Sav Blanc was going to give me a headache the next day–a bit harsh perhaps, but point taken. In all fairness, perhaps you should check out one of the many other reviews (many from the wine maker and winery) found online. While wine appreciation is highly subjective, I stand by my review in advising that you don’t rush out to buy this one.
