Concannon Pinot and First Photo by VinoForLess Team
Somewhat recently, I reviewed a Concannon Cabernet Savignon. So impressed with that wine, I decided to pick up a Concannon Pinot Noir. This wine is not being tasted and reviewed on the happiest of occasions. I’m actually in Houston, Texas for one of those family emergencies that everyone dreads, a parent in their last days. Given that my parents have both had long, beautiful lives, I’ve tried my best to stay focused on the beauty and innevitability of life. Concannon will forever hold a special place in my own beautiful life. On to the wine and the photo (taken by VinoForLess contributor Sami)
Wine: 2005 Central Coast Pinot Noir
Winery: Concannon Vineyards
Where to buy: HEB, Missouri City, TX
Price: $11.99
With an earthy and smokey nose, cloudy colour, this wine has classic Pinot characteristics with a slightly spicy finish. This is the second Concannon wine, for under 20 bucks, that I’ve tried in recent weeks–I’m now a big fan! Earlier today, I was limited to the favorite beverages of my two younger brothers, Bud Light and Coors Light. I did a side-by-side taste of the beers (and I use the term beer loosely). Here’s the review in two words–diet water.
