Once again, I tried pulling another cheapo from the racks at BevMo. And, seeing the Coppola name, I thought that this would come out alright and, I decided to have this with an easy pasta and tomato sauce. Well, you can’t pick a winner every time.

Varietal Mix: Zinfandel 51%, Syrah 29%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%

I let this one breathe in the glass for about 10 minutes before drinking. Even then, the nose was very astringent (smelled like alcohol). I think I got a few hints of berries, but it was very over powered by the alcohol. The tasted was somewhat sour yet had touches of juiciness. The finish was a bit dry but fortunately was short. I definitely think that you can spend you money in better ways.
