It has a subtle nose with raspberry, cherry and perhaps even a bit of blueberry. It has light acidity, and mild spice on the tongue. This is a smooth, medium bodied wine that could be served with a light entrée. Ravenswood describes it best as something for ten dollars that tastes like something that would be offered for fifteen or more. Would it truly satisfy the sophisticated palate? Probably not, but it’s a consistently good fallback wine, based on experience. This is what I refer to as a “Wednesday night wine”.
