Mirassou 2005 Pinot Noir
I’ve enjoyed two Pinots in the past couple of weeks. I’m enjoying a glass of this Mirassou tonight.

Yes I do drink alone on occassion, and that’s OK (although not recommended for most). This Pinot isn’t busting at the seams with character, but definitely a good weeknight wine. It has paired well with home-grilled chicken and a California chicken wrap from the Safeway deli this week. I’m not sure where the lovely wife picked this up, but she recognized the Mirassou name and picked it up because she knows I love Pinot. The other Pinot I had recently was by Picchetti Winery. It didn’t meet the price criteria of usual posts (under $25), although as a club member, I may have picked it up for just at $25. It’s superior to this particular Mirassou, but Mirassou did release a decent product for the price. It doesn’t blow my hair way back, but I’d have to say, if you find it, pick up a bottle. If you can make it out to Picchetti, try any of their wines–all are quite nice.
